Can BlueBox add additional carriers?
We already track all major carriers but of course we can add additional carriers if requiredAdding carriers is subject to customer and market demand.

What data do you need to track a shipment?
You only need a container number or Master Ocean Bill of Lading number to track oceanfreight shipments or a Master Airwaybill number for airfreight shipments. However, we recommend that you provide more data about the shipments to enrich the user and customer experience. You can view the recommended data in our excel upload file.
Can I view your excel upload file?
Yes. Please find our excel upload files for airfreight and oceanfreight attached. The excel is colour coded with Green for mandatory fields, Yellow for recommended fields and Orange for optional fields. Most TMS or ERP systems should contain both the mandatory and optional fields. We are happy to help with mapping where required. Just send the excel sheets to support@bluebox-systems.com and we will upload the same day.
How do you charge for tracking services?
For oceanfreight tracking we charge per container or Master Ocean BL. Tracking pr container is more reliable since it ensures that all containers on an OBL are tracked. For airfreight we charge per Master Airwaybill. There is a supplemental charge for CO2 tracking.
How many user licences can we have?
You can have as many users as you like. There is no per user charge.
How long does it take to start tracking shipments?
You can start tracking same day if you send us an excel file to upload. API integration usually takes 1-4 weeks depending on your system and tech team availability.
How can I share shipments with customers?
In the UI you can select a shipment or group of shipments and easily email a hyperlink to any customer. Alternatively, you can create as many customer sub-accounts as you like and set up customer users so that they can log in and view their own shipments and reports.
Can I have a trial of your tracking services?
Yes – you can have a free trial for up to 20 airfreight and oceanfreight shipments Just fill out the contact form and we will get in touch to set up your trial.
Do I have to sign an annual contract?
We normally sign an annual contract with customers with tiered pricing based on their volume commitments.
We also have special introductory packages which allow you to subscribe shipments for a 45 day or 90 day period. These offers allow you experience the productivity and customer advantages of using BlueBox without making a long-term commitment. Find out more about these packages here.
When do you invoice?
Generally we invoice on a monthly basis for actual shipments tracked, subject to any minimum monthly volume agreed. If we cannot track a shipment for any reason then we do not invoice for it.
